Zoomin + Salesforce: Unified Knowledge

Unified Knowledge integrates knowledge from third-party systems - SharePoint, Confluence, Google Drive, company websites, and more - into Salesforce, combining it with customer data in Data Cloud to ground Einstein for Service. It began as Zoomin's contract work with Salesforce and became the main contributor to Salesforce's acquisition of Zoomin.

I developed the ingestion framework of Unified Knowledge - the orchestration of data end-to-end:

  • Ingestion from each source connector.
  • Transformation and harmonization of varied formats into a single unified representation.
  • Storage of that unified content.
  • The API that serves it back for consumption.

Built with Go (Mortar framework), gRPC, Postgres, and Temporal, with APIs designed to Salesforce's scale standards - millions of requests, low latency, high availability.
